Description:
The class will spend a few weeks reading the book, "Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing" by Judy Blume. The students will develop a deeper understanding of the text through class discussions and group communication. The class will be divided into "advertising teams." Like Mr. Hatcher, one main characters in the book, the students will create advertisements for different products. This will give students practice communicating to an audience, incorporating intertextual ideas, and using creative drama to deliver a message.
