Creative Drama and Theatre Education
Author:Janine Buesgen
URL:http://www.creativedrama.com/
Summary:This website offers an abundance of sources such as classroom materials, theatrical games, and plays for appropriate age levels for a theatre classroom or regular education classroom. While this site explains many movement activities such as the ones done in THR 421, the majoirty of the website offers bibliographical information for other sources such as play scripts and theatrical books. This site appears to be geared towards helping new teachers find appropriate material for the theatre class. The content ranges from warm-ups to actual performance pieces. I hope to incorporate mini plays within my academic curriculum and this site appears user-friendly for both theatre and non-theatre majors. I remember doing small drama activities throughout elementary school which was a break from academic work. I hope to use ideas such as "Ali Baba" in my future classroom to give students a break yet stil on work on concentration.
